The Forge-Bound apprentice stares intently at the amber hide he holds aloft, pounding its surface methodically with a heavy, iron mace. The light from the nearby hearth dances across his eyes. As you draw closer, the pungent odors of tanning agents thickens in the air. Tonves has been an apprentice of Jaspos for three years, earning his master's displeasure with his proclivity for tanning and leatherworking. Tonves planned to apprentice with a Master of Tanning when they returned North, but ever since Jaspos decided to detour by way of the Wound he has been clothing and feeding its denizens.
