The Shattered Bastion is a location in Bastard's Wound.
Background[]
Crouched in the southern mountains of the Bastard Tier, these ruins are all that remain of a fortified estate that ended up perfectly positioned to serve as a second line of defense for the Tiers if Fort Threshold fell. It might have held for spans, had it not been for the arcane might of the Archon of Stone.
Points of interest[]
- This is a large ruin that was taken recently by the Scarlet Chorus under Rholus the Butcher. Come forward to listen to an amusing exchange between poor Warbler and his gang boss.
- Around the side of the bastion is Gwyneth and her group, together with a rope that allows access to the upper level with Athletics 31. Rholus will attack if you come too close to him. Hyrax is in his encampment, with the collapsed entrance to the Bastard's Wound to the back.
- To the northwest is a rope that can be scaled with Athletics 60 to reach some supplies.
- Breaching the cave to enter Cairn's Passage requires the jar of Ocean Fire from Gwyneth and lobbing it at the entrance.
