The House of Broken Regents named themselves for a successful contract taken against one of the Regents of Stalwart. While they generally boast that they overcame that nation's fabled warriors in honorable combat, the stories they tell among themselves paint a dramatically different tale of subterfuge and treachery. Each member of the House wears on their person a pendant of silver, pewter, or tin in the shape of a key. Each is a copy, the House claims, of that which opened the doors of the Regent's chambers, allowing cunning to overcome the royal guard where brute force had failed.
