Synopsis[ | ]
A Sage has offered you valuable information in exchange for the preservation of her research and the well-being of her scribe. The Sage has directed you to a ruined estate in the Bastard Tier.
Walkthrough[ | ]
- Read the missive to receive the location of The Shattered Bastion. Travel there. To get through, you need to deal with the Chorus. Either kill Warbler and his coterie or go around and talk to Gwyneth.
- Gwyneth will request wiping out the Choirmen. Climbing the rope gives access to Rholus. Note that if you approach him rope-side, he'll attack you at the end of the conversation no matter what you say. After killing him, getting rid of Warbler is as easy as telling him to leave.
- Hyrax is an optional matter. You can free or kill him at your leisure after dealing with the Chorus.
- Gwyneth will hand you a jar of Ocean Fire to clear the entrance into the cave. Do so.
- Optionally, you can return to Gwyneth, and she will give you a batch of somewhat-fresh meat with which you can use to enter the cave without violence.
- Enter the cave. Hill-Strider is right around the corner and will accost you. With Hunter background or Athletics 57, you can impress her enough to make her sit down and take notice. You can also use the meat from Gwyneth to bribe her in return for entry.
- Enter the Wound and talk to Mell, to learn that Sage Lexeme is missing.
