Bronze Brotherhood

Bronze Brotherhood is one of the factions of the world of Tyranny.

Background[ | ]

The Bronze Brotherhood has existed for hundreds of years, but in the Northern lands. Lethian, the founder of the Crossing, had heard of them from her travels and hired them to protect Lethian's Crossing, turning the Bronze Brotherhood into a mercenary company operating out of the Free Cities dotting the Tiers' southern coast. Many of these mercenary companies were employed by Kyros' agents and slaughtered during the war. The Bronze Brotherhood survived thanks to their relatively safe posting at Lethian's Crossing, where the Voices of Nerat hired the company to help protect the town's forge operation.

Among the most trained and dedicated warriors of the Tiers, the Brotherhood have a reputation for ruthlessness and tenacity. Aggression and decisive thinking are so highly prized by the Brotherhood that the violent, enigmatic Scourge is the group's mascot - a creature most decent folk consider the stuff of nightmares. The term "Brother" is used for mercenaries of both genders, as the company's title harkens back to the archaic notion of 'living as men' (in Tiers custom, this amounts to releasing all claims to lands) to better assure an employer that the Brotherhood won't covet the realms they're paid to protect.

The commander of the outfit is referred to as the First Brother (Raetommon as of 430 TR), with a personal bodyguard called the First Axe (Welby). The ranks of the Brotherhood include bruisers and raiders.

Interactions[ | ]

Control of Lethian's Crossing: if you did not visit the Crossing during the Conquest, the Brotherhood will be left in charge.
- Access to Crossing: On a non-Disfavored path, you'll be able to pass through Ironhaul Trail peacefully, if you don't attack Raetommon. If you're already Anarchist, you'll also be refused passage.
In the Disfavored path, you'll have to slaughter most of the Brotherhood during the Lethian's Crossing quest chain (except those who are inside the Twin Rivers Oldwalls).
In the Rebel path, they can be chosen as allies at Lethian's Crossing. If chosen, your choice of allies in the Stone Sea will be the Stonestalkers.

Conquest
- You allowed the Scarlet Chorus to invite the Bronze Brotherhood into their camps for fighting tournaments and challenges of skill during your tenure at the Crossing.

- Persuade Flatfoot Ferris to give you the torchkey without killing him during Forbidden Passage (Minor)

Wrath

Conquest
- During the conquest of Lethian's Crossing, you forced the Bronze Brotherhood camps to be as far away from the Disfavored as possible.

- Wipe out the Brotherhood garrison at the Crossing, if you didn't hold the area during the Conquest (mandatory while on the Disfavored path) (Average)
- Attack Welby and her force at Twin Rivers during The Bronze Thief (mandatory while on the Disfavored path).
